Santa Barbara, CA Lyrical works by plein air landscape artist Susan Belloni are currently on view at the Treasure House, the Music Academy of the West's on-campus home furnishings consignment shop, as part of a new program showcasing art by a featured local painter every three months. The shop inaugurated the initiative with a series of Parisian-themed pieces by watercolorist Mary Peeters late last year.

Ms. Belloni's exhibition, "Landscape Paintings of Santa Barbara County," includes 13 original paintings in acrylics and oils of area beaches, ranches, and the wine country. They are available as limited edition, archival prints on canvas. Also known as giclées – for the relatively new ink-jet print-making process – each is personally signed and numbered. Plein air works are painted in the open air on location. An art studio graduate from UC Santa Barbara, Ms. Belloni also counts local and national artists Marcia Burtt, Michael Drury, John Budicin, and Randall Sexton among her instructors.

A member of the Santa Barbara Art Association as well as the advocacy organization Southern California Artists Painting for the Environment, Ms. Belloni opens her studio to the public each year during the annual Mesa Artists Studio Tour. Her work can also be seen locally at the Corridan, Palm Loft, and Weldon Ranch galleries and at Five Points' Fresco Café until February 26, as well as on her website, www.susanbelloni.com. Her patrons have included actor John Cleese.

Ms. Belloni will host an open house at the Treasure House from noon to 3 pm on Saturday, March 20. Ample free parking is available on the Music Academy grounds.

The Treasure House offers an abundant trove of distinctive antiques, china, silver, linens, furniture, and accessories for the home. Along with The Rack, the Academy's on-campus resale apparel shop, the Treasure House is open from noon to 3 pm, Tuesdays through Saturdays. Proceeds from sales at The Rack and Treasure House benefit the Music Academy.
