The Rack
The Rack sells fine quality designer and resale clothing. You’ll find clothing, jewelry, shoes, handbags and more at reasonable prices. The dedicated staff of volunteers assists shoppers in putting together a complete outfit for a special occasion or in finding just the right accessory.
Donations of fine-quality clothing and accessories are still greatly appreciated – and very much needed – for The Rack eBay business. Donations are tax deductible. To arrange a donation pick-up, please call 969-0190.

Members of the Music Academy's Women's Auxiliary who volunteer their time at The Rack love clothes and love helping customers! So whether shoppers are looking for that perfect item for a special occasion or simply browsing, there is an atmosphere of friendship and camaraderie, coupled with excellent customer service that makes shopping at The Rack a truly pleasurable experience.
The Rack caters to women of all ages and all sizes and offers items to suit all your needs — from dress-up to casual, from professional to playtime.
No one seems to remember whether The Rack was started in 1979 or 1980, but everyone knows the legend of Roz Terry, whose idea for a used clothing store started with one rack of used clothing at the annual May Madness event. That year Roz sold all of her merchandise in one hour, and the Academy's Board of Directors was convinced the idea was a good one. Roz was granted what is now the Music Library to display donated clothing and a closet for storage. Clothes were mostly donated by her friends — volunteers sorted clothes on Monday morning and sold them in the afternoon. And the rest is history!
