Julie Landsman recently retired from the principal horn chair at the Metropolitan Opera, a position she held for 25 years. She previously served as co-principal horn with the Houston Symphony, and has toured throughout the world with the New York Philharmonic and Orpheus. 

Ms. Landsman's recording credits include a turn as featured horn soloist in a performance of the Ring Cycle with the Metropolitan Opera. Her summers have included the Marlboro Music Festival, Sarasota Music Festival, Mainly Mozart Orchestra, La Jolla SummerFest, Chamber Music Northwest, and the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival. 

Ms. Landsman is a faculty member at Juilliard and Bard Conservatory, and many of her former students hold prominent positions throughout the United States. A graduate of Juilliard, she has studied with James Chambers, Howard Howard, and Carmine Caruso.
