Off-Season Study
MERIT Extended
An offshoot of the Academy's summer MERIT (Music Education Reinforces Intellect and Talent) Program, MERIT Extended enables students to expand their chamber music education between the months of September and May. Participants take part in masterclasses, perform as chamber group members, and receive coaching from top teachers in the Santa Barbara area twice a month. Like the summer MERIT Program, MERIT Extended does not require tuition, and participants are selected through an audition process.

Laureates Program
This program provides Music Academy alumni with the opportunity for intensive, personalized study with Academy faculty and other accomplished professionals. Laureate workshops take place throughout the off-season months.
