Oboe
Cynthia Koledo DeAlmeida (weeks 1-4) David Weiss (weeks 5-8)
Oboe applicants must 1. apply online and 2. perform a live audition OR submit 2 copies of a video DVD audition recording. Live auditions are filmed for later review by the studio faculty. Equal enrollment consideration is granted to both audition methods.
Applying by the deadline does not guarantee a live audition; live auditions are first come, first served. Visit this webpage prior to applying to verify if a particular city's audition schedule is already full.
The Music Academy accepts four oboists each summer.
The Application
The online application requires three components: the application data, a one-page resume, and a short statement (100 words) explaining why you wish to attend the Music Academy.
An application fee is required by credit card or electronic check when submitting an online application. Application fees are NON-refundable.
