Trombone and Tuba
Mark Lawrence (weeks 1-5) Ralph Sauer (weeks 6-8)
Trombone and tuba applicants must 1. apply online and 2. perform a live audition OR submit a video DVD audition recording. Live auditions are filmed for later review by the studio faculty. Equal enrollment consideration is granted to both audition methods.
Applying by the deadline does not guarantee a live audition; live auditions are first come, first served. Visit this webpage prior to submitting the application to verify if a specific city's audition schedule is already full.
The Music Academy accepts four trombone players (three tenor and one bass) and one tuba player each summer.
The Application
The online application requires three components: the application data, a one-page resume, and a short statement (100 words) explaining why you wish to attend the Music Academy.
An application fee is required by credit card or electronic check when submitting the online application. Application fees are NON-refundable.
