DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL EVENTS
Full-Time, Exempt
The Director of Special Events is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of all special events; including revenue-generating events, donor stewardship initiatives, and campaign-related functions. The ideal candidate is solutions-oriented, resourceful, and thrives in a collaborative and dynamic work environment who takes pride in seeing projects through from concept to completion.
FACILITIES MANAGER
Full-Time, Non-Exempt
The Music Academy of the West seeks a skilled Facilities Manager who is essential to the daily and long-term maintenance and care of our beautiful campus. The Facilities Manager also supports administration and visitors with various on-site needs and events, especially during the eight-week Summer Music Festival & School. This is an essential job function which requires in-person work.
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT &Â CEO
Full-time, Non-Exempt 
The Executive Assistant to the President & CEO provides high-level administrative support to the President & CEO and Board of Directors, acting as a key conduit to the public and all administration. The ideal candidate will be self-starter, proactive, demonstrate excellent organizational skills, have a keen eye for detail, and possess exemplary interpersonal skills.
PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE
Non-Exempt, Non-Summer Part-Time,
Non-Exempt, Summer Full-time (June 8 – August 10, 2026)
Production Associates support the production and stage crew needs of the Music Academy’s artistic programs and rental events. Duties include stage management for events, managing properties for rehearsals and during concerts, and providing logistical support for off-campus events as needed. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in stage operations and live event production.
SING! SITE COORDINATOR
Part-Time, Non-Exempt, two positions available
The Music Academy of the West is committed to serving the youth of Santa Barbara with the highest level of excellence in choral instruction and music education through its Sing! program, now in its sixth year. Sing! Site Coordinators are instrumental to implementing the program’s vision and building relationships in our community. This position reports to the Artistic Director of Sing!.
SING! CHORAL DIRECTOR
Part-Time, Non-Exempt
The Music Academy of the West is committed to serving the youth of Santa Barbara with the highest level of excellence in choral instruction and music education through its Sing! program, now in its sixth year.
