Phillippa Cole is from Norfolk, UK. She studied the oboe with Jonathan Kelly and Celia Nicklin at Chethams School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music from where she holds a Bachelor of Music and was made an Associate in 2011.

After leaving the Academy Phillippa decided to make a career in Arts Management. Her first position was at the Almeida Theatre in London where she produced their annual contemporary opera season - in collaboration with the Aldeburgh Festival - commissioning composers such as Thomas Adés, Harrison Birtwistle and Giorgio Battistelli to write chamber operas. After five years at the Almeida Theatre she moved to be the Casting Administrator at the English National Opera. She joined Askonas Holt in 2006 as an Artist Manager working for a list of singers and stage directors. She became an Associate Director in 2016 and now represents conductors, singers and stage directors.  In addition to the arts Phillippa enjoys giving dinner parties and studying 20th Century American plays.
