ANDREW PORT 21, born in Carmel, New York, earned his bachelor’s degree in Oboe Performance at New England Conservatory, where studied with John Ferrillo. During his time there, Andrew Port performed numerous solo recitals and concerts with the Symphony and Philharmonia as Principal Oboe, and in 2014, was a finalist in the Conservatory's Mozart-Haydn Concerto Competition. Mr. Port also received a Weiss Grant from the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra under Maestro Benjamin Zander, where he served as rotating Principal Oboist in the Youth Orchestra for two years. Mr. Port is an alumnus of The Juilliard School's Pre-College Division, where he studied with Richard Dallessio, and is attending Music Academy of the West for the first time this summer.
