ARTHUR DE CAMARGO ZANIN (’16) 31, born in São Paulo, Brazil, recently received a doctoral degree in trumpet performance from Rutgers University, where he studied with Kenny DeCarlo. Also an alumnus from University of Denver, Manhattan School of Music, and the Aspen Music Festival and School, Dr. Zanin just completed his first season as second trumpet of the Southwest Florida Symphony in Fort Myers, and has been a substitute musician for several professional orchestras, such as Naples Philharmonic and Sarasota Orchestra. As a chamber music player, Mr. Zanin has appeared in a variety of musical settings, most recently in a series of recitals for trumpet and organ. This is his second summer at Music Academy of the West.
