DANIEL HAMIN GO 21, born in Seoul, South Korea, earned his bachelor’s degree at Manhattan School of Music, under the tutelage of Julia Lichten, and began his cello studies in Canada at the age of 13. Mr. Go has worked with cellists such as David Geringas, Hans Jørgen Jensen, and Morten Zeuthen. As an avid chamber musician, Daniel Go has participated in masterclasses at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and has received guidance under the members of the Juilliard and Tokyo string quartets, as well as David Geber. Festival engagements include the New York String Orchestra Seminar, the National Arts Centre’s Young Artists Program, and the Meadowmount School of Music. This is his first summer at the Music Academy of the West.
