IAN PERRY WALKER (’16) 24, is an American baritone, composer, multi-instrumentalist, poet, and storyteller.   A passionate performer and interpreter of contemporary vocal music, Mr. Walker specializes in creating performances that engage audiences and promote communication through the combination of words and music.  Mr. Walker holds a master’s degree in Opera and Vocal Performance from University of California, Los Angeles, and a bachelor’s degree from California Institute of the Arts, where he studied in the Performer/Composer program; an innovative and unique program that integrates performance practice with compositional craft. This season, Mr. Walker was seen as Mercutio in Gounod's Romèo et Juliette with Center Stage Opera, and Edmund Bertram in Jonathan Dove's Mansfield Park with Opera UCLA. This is his second summer at the Music Academy of the West.
