JUSTIN WOO (’16) 24, born in Spokane, Washington, received his master's degree at USC Thornton School of Music, where he was the recipient of the Mary Adams Balmat Scholarship under the tutelage of Bing Wang. Mr. Woo completed his bachelor's degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music as a recipient of the Dorothy Richard Starling Scholarship, where he studied with Paul Kantor and Ivan Zenaty. Mr. Woo is currently a substitute for the Seattle Symphony. While a Music Academy fellow in 2016, Justin Woo was selected for the Zarin Mehta Global Academy and subsequently performed with the New York Philharmonic. This will be his second summer at the Music Academy of the West.
