KAITLIN ZARDETTO 25, is native of Omaha, Nebraska, and recently graduated from Northwestern University. Now a doctoral student at Florida State University in Historical Musicology, Ms. Zardetto’s research interests focus primarily on classical art song recital designs geared towards a hybridized and interdisciplinary approach to performance concepts. Winner of the Edith Newfield Vocal Scholarship from the Chicago Musicians Club of Women and recipient of the Midwest regional National Metropolitan Opera Council's encouragement award, this past fall, Ms. Zardetto was a selected finalist in the Kristin Lewis Foundation's Vocal Scholarship. Kaitlin Zardetto has participated in several regional premiers including Christopher Theofanidis' The Cows of Apollo, Invention of Music with the Aspen Music Festival, and Carlisle Floyd’s Prince of Players with Florida State University Opera.
