KYUYOUNG LEE 32, a native of South Korea, earned his bachelor’s degree in vocal arts at Seoul National University, and earned his master’s degree in vocal arts at University of Southern California studying with Professor Elizabeth Hynes. Mr. Lee received the Seoul National University Alumni development Fund Scholarship as well as the Music Merit Scholarship for Excellent Academic record at USC. Mr. Lee also graduated from the professional studies program in vocal arts at the Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of Professor Marlena Malas. Mr. Lee has performed with the Korea Prime Philharmonic Orchestra as well as in several concerts throughout Korea. Kyuyoung Lee was an award recepient of the Metropolitan Opera Competition in the Colorado District. Mr. Lee has sung at the Aspen Opera Theater Center, peformed Tamino in The Magic Flute and Chaplain in Dialogues of the Carmelites with the USC Thorton Opera, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni at Manhattan School of Music, and Lucarnio in Ariodante with Chautauqua Opera. At the Aspen Music Festival Mr. Lee performed Luigi in Opera Wedding and covered Rodolfo in La Boheme. Recently, Mr. Lee enrolled at Boston University as a doctoral student under the tutelage of Professor Jerrold Pope.
