SOYOUNG CHOE 26, born in Seoul, South Korea, is currently a doctoral student at Manhattan School of Music. Ms. Choe earned her bachelor’s degree at New England Conservatory under Wha-kyung Byun, her master’s degree at The Juilliard School studying with Choongmo Kang and Jerome Lowenthal, and her Professional Studies diploma at Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of Phillip Kawin.  As winner of the Jacob Flier Competition at the age of ten, Ms. Choe debuted as a pianist at the Prodigy Concert at Kumho Art Hall. Since then, Ms. Choe has won numerous prizes, including first place at the Chopin Competition in Korea, and other awards in the Beethoven (Korea), Asia Chopin, Paderewski International, California International Piano, VIVO-S International Music, and New Jersey Camerata Competitions.
