Part of the 2017 Solo Piano Competition Winner National Recital Tour

Pianist Zhu Wang, winner of the inaugural competition, competed for The Luria Foundation Prize (a $5,000 cash award), and the opportunity to perform on a national tour in Santa Barbara, Beverly Hills, Chicago, and New York City. 

Guest composer, pianist, and jurist Timo Andres wrote a  Music Academy commissioned piece for the winner, with the support of the Luria Foundation, to make its premiere on the tour.
