The Community Concert is presented in remembrance of Léni Fé Bland.
The performance of Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 is dedicated to the late Peggy Maximus, in recognition of her generous and longstanding support of the Music Academy.
The lead sponsors of the London Symphony Orchestra partnership are Linda and Michael Keston and Mary Lynn and Warren Staley.
Additional support has been provided in remembrance of Léni Fé Bland.
Important Event Information
ARRIVE EARLY at 5:30 pm
Due to the historic design of the Santa Barbara Bowl, it is recommended that all patrons arrive early to ensure ease and comfort of parking and entry to venue. The concert will be approximately two hours including one 30 minute intermission.
Will only occur after the first piece (approximately 8 minutes in length) and at intermission. Late arrivals will wait to be seated by ushers at the appropriate time.
SHUTTLES FROM SB HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT
There will be complimentary shuttles from the parking lot to take people up to the seating area. If you need to use a shuttle, please arrive no later than 5:30 pm for ensured access on time. You must have your concert tickets to board the shuttles. If you choose not to use the shuttles, it is a 2-block walk from the parking lot to the entrance of the Bowl.
SHUTTLES FROM BOX OFFICE TO SEATING AREA
The complimentary accessible shuttle transports patrons to the Bowl’s Main Plaza and returns to the Dreier Box Office after the concert. The shuttle pickup is at the Security Check near the Dreier Box Office. Pick up begins at 5:30 pm and continues throughout the evening. Shuttles will return following the concert to the Dreier Ticket Office area OR the parking lot. Please board the correct shuttle as you exit.
The Bowl is located in a residential neighborhood; please be respectful of the community. Use the High School parking lot, park in legal areas, keep noise to a minimum, and don’t litter. If you choose to park within the neighborhood, pay close attention to city signage.
Please note that exiting the Bowl may take up to an hour, so plan accordingly.
DIRECTIONS & MAP
From North: Take 101 South to Santa Barbara. Exit Milpas St.-NORTH Merge right on to Milpas St. (away from the ocean). Travel approximately 1.5 miles up Milpas. Santa Barbara Bowl will be located on the right-hand side.
From South: Take 101 North to Santa Barbara. Exit Milpas St . Turn right (away from the ocean). Travel approximately 1.5 miles up Milpas. Santa Barbara Bowl will be located on the right-hand side.
The Santa Barbara High School parking lot, located 200 yards from the Bowl entrance, offers convenient and safe parking. For your safety, the following policies apply when parking at Santa Barbara High School. Tickets will be taken and security scans will occur at the parking lot, where you may board a shuttle directly to the seating area of the Bowl.
- Parking is $15 per car – CASH ONLY.
- No alcohol.
- Parking lot closes 60 minutes after concert ends.
- The Santa Barbara Bowl and Santa Barbara High School assume no responsibility for theft or damage to your car or property while parked on the premises.
RIDESHARE & DROP OFF
Rideshare is an easy and green way to get to a Bowl concert. Whether ride-sharing with a friend or via Uber, Lyft, friends or a taxi — all drop-offs are the same. Drop off ALL passengers on the corner of Milpas and Anapamu. Please schedule your approach to drive Northbound on Milpas (heading away from the ocean) to unload in the designated drop-off zone at Milpas and Anapamu.
Handicapped access: patrons can be dropped off on Milpas in front of the Dreier Box Office and take the complimentary shuttle.
The Santa Barbara Bowl strives to provide a spectacular experience to all our guests. Please adhere to the rules below so everyone can enjoy concerts together in a safe, fun environment.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Only factory-sealed, plastic water bottles smaller than 1.5 liters are allowed. All other outside food and beverage items are prohibited, including:
- Glass bottles
- Ice chests
- Picnic/food baskets
Photography and video are strictly prohibited.
Food and alcohol concessions may be purchased with cash or credit card. ATMs also available on site for cash withdrawl.
Smoking is only permitted away from food and drink lines in the Lower Plaza area. No exceptions. Guests who desire a completely smoke-free environment can enjoy The Scranton Overlook at the top of the house.
Please dress appropriately with comfortable shoes and a jacket or sweater for evening weather.
POST-CONCERT DINING PARTNER
The Santa Barbara Public Market has generously offered to remain open late for post-concert dining. Service will be provided until 10:30 pm. SBPM will close at 11:30 pm.
